Li Ziqi’s organic lifestyle not only inspires awe and gratitude, it forces to witness life from an alternate perspective.

Sharad’s Sunday Sojourns (week # 497 | 24th October 2021)

“In today’s society, many people feel stressed. So, when they watch my videos at the end of a busy day, I want them to relax and experience something nice, to take away some of their anxiety and stress.” … Li Ziqi.

Probably one of the world’s most celebrated vlogger (YouTuber), Li Ziqi’s journey to the top is not a gimmick. As if, she went on and on, and in the process, miracle happened! Hats off to that spirit of real sustainability! (Image source: Silverbackdigest)

When life’s a b**ch, be a dog!

That’s what we love to say, just in order to provide ourselves an upper hand, perhaps to counter the everyday stresses and anxieties of life.

As perceived by the majority, it’s easier said than done, just to assert it extremely mildly.

After all, can you really shun your job on a whisker, leave your city life, and cater to the wilderness, on a pure midlife crisis hunch?

Maybe one weekend, taking a local trip or a trek to the nearest landscape far from the downtown makes you happy and rejuvenated.

But to practice that forever, think about it, are you still interested?

Perhaps not. You are not to blame.

After all, we are all slaves of civilisation.

And believe it or not, money rules! Contrarily, money will probably never buy you happiness.

But certainly, money can bring you some sort of comfort.

The question is, let’s say, even if you have reached your target nest for your life quite early in your career, would you still call it a day?

Don’t know about you, but probably I would not.

Nothing to be ashamed about it. We are what we are.

The point to note is, change is permanent.

But, even better is to start early, in order to realise that alternate lifestyle.

And guess what, if you stick to yourself, persevere, and truly believe in your craft, one day the world will stand up and take notice.

And money, huh … didn’t we hear luck (and also success) favours the brave over the naysayer!

The living and burning example of all these is just a young woman from China. Li Ziqi.

I started following her YouTube channel just on a pure chance.

And I have never been failed to amaze by the quality of the organic life that she portrays.

It’s one thing to buy organic food from your local supermarket.

It’s another thing to preach and practice a total organic lifestyle (food, cosmetics, apparel, for instance).

You have to see to believe it.

And mind you, she’s not living in a wild forest and eating fruits from the trees and drinking water from the rivers, in order to thrive.

She lives in a remote village in some province in China with her grandmother, perfectly surrounded by a small group of closely-knit relatives and friends.

What is so majestic, is the utter devotion to uphold nature above all !

It does not surprise me that she’s probably one of the most watched YouTuber on this planet, with a recurrent appreciation that only a handful of the world’s most endearing celebrities are endowed to.

You start watching one video, and automatically binge watch the other, and so on.

It engulfs you.

They are authentic, spirited, not filled with superhuman traits, simple and above all ‘organic’.

If you carefully notice the comments and the viewers (ranging from thousands to millions per video), you note the growing global frustration against capitalism, authoritarian regimes, ruthlessness, and a dear need of a respite from virtually everything!

Like a tranquilliser, Li Ziqi and her ‘comrades’ open the doors to a green world, full of promises and peace.

I would repeat what has been repeated a zillion times as a response to her videos … but I really want to experience such an ‘experience’ at least once in my life.

It may anger some souls, and I do not want any comparison.

I must say this: (in my opinion) Li Ziqi stands as a more authoritative and determined environmental activist than Greta Thunberg.

May God bless Li Ziqi with a long life!

Here’s a high five to the real spirit of sustainability!
